TUESDAY’S QUESTION OF THE DAY

Question of the Day:  When I was a kid I was a SUPER picky eater.  Still to this day, there are some things that I'll turn my nose up to - but I'm not NEARLY as bad as I was as a young "Brockie" as my Grandparents used to call me.  Now comes payback.  I can name the things my son will eat using the fingers on ONE hand.  (Pepperoni slices, string cheese, Gogurt, chicken nuggets & chocolate milk).  And so I'm trying to force myself to eat stuff that I've never been able to stand so he sees that I'm not a picky eater (yeah, right).  Today's question:  What's one food that you've given a fair chance but just can't stand?  Me?  I've never been a fan of tomatoes.  I can do ketchup and salsa all day long, but a sliced tomato on my cheeseburger or sandwich?  Not gonna happen!(Broc) JOIN THE CONVERSATION ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE!

HOLLYWOOD

Numerous allegations of harassment and assault have landed the new Kevin Spacey flick a big red mark through its title “All The Money In The World.”  The film was pulled from the AFI Film Festival in Los Angeles, where it was set to debut on November 16th.   In a statement yesterday, TriStar, which is part of Sony, issued a statement saying it was being pulled from the festival because of the "current allegations surrounding one of its actors" — meaning Spacey.  While its being pulled from next week’s festival, Sony Pictures says the film will still arrive in theaters as planned on Dec. 22.

The Weinstein drama gets more and more disturbing as investigations continue to unearth damning evidence against the movie mogul - and now, The New Yorker has released a report that says Harvey Weinstein employed private investigators to spy on his accusers and keep tabs on reporters investigating his past.  According to the report, Weinstein hired Black Cube, a firm run by former Mossad agents, to collect information on Rose McGowan, who is a driving force in the accusations against Weinstein. The firm employed undercover agents, one of whom posed as a women’s rights activist, to meet with McGowan and obtain information on her forthcoming book, the story states.  In a statement to the New Yorker, Weinstein spokeswoman Sallie Hofmeister accused the publication of trafficking in “inaccuracies and wild conspiracy theories.”

Patton Oswalt is once again a happily married man!  Over the weekend, the comedian wed Meredith Salenger in an intimate ceremony at the Jim Henson Studios in Los Angeles. And the couple are certainly on cloud nine as they can't stop sharing photos from their special day.  Patton was dealt a devastating tragedy when his first wife, Michelle McNamara, died unexpectedly in her sleep in April 2016.  As it's believed that the two were introduced by mutual friend Martha Plimpton, it only makes sense that The Goonies actress officiated the ceremony.

FRIDAY’S QUESTION OF THE DAY

Question of the Day:  We're still weeks away from the first major holiday of the season, and already the family feuds are underway!  This one comes from a listener who's asking for your help.  We'll call her "Michelle."  Michelle's fiancé Derek was texting his sister about her upcoming visit at Thanksgiving. Michelle and Derek are hosting his sister's family. His sister asked if they could bring their little dog. Without first talking to Michelle, Derek said, "sure, bring him!!" Michelle's not thrilled. She has two dogs of her own and they don't play well with others.  Now the other part is that Derek's SISTER is a great cook. And meanwhile, Michelle - who's supposed to be in charge of the feast - can literally burn water.  So  Michelle was stressed BEFORE the dog thing came into question because she feels like Derek's sister will be watching and judging.  Put yourself in Michelle's shoes.  What would you do?  Would you veto the dog decision even though your husband already said yes to his sister?  Would you ask her for help with the cooking, even though her mere presence in the kitchen puts you on edge? After watching Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez quickly mend things over the last week, there was wide speculation at their rekindling is what tore The Weekend and Selena apart – but now we know, that WASN’T the case.  It was The Weeknd who ended things, and it’s because their relationship had been fizzling out since summer. They had rarely seen each other because of his touring schedule and her shooting schedule. They started talking less frequently on the phone.  it was actually several weeks ago The Weeknd called Selena, explained how the relationship was no longer working for him and then ended it.  Sources close to the two say they remain friendly and have even talked several times since the breakup.  Bieber's apparent reignited relationship with Selena didn't start until after she and The Weeknd went their separate ways.

More accusations are out against Kevin Spacey and his inappropriate involvement with underage boys.  One man who wished to remain anonymous says he had a relationship with Spacey when he was 14.  Spacey was 24 at the time, and the relationship ended when Spacey attempted to assault the boy.  Actor Roberto Cavazos also came forward and said he witnessed Spacey court and act inappropriately with younger male actors at the Old Vic Theatre, where Spacey was the artistic director from 2004 to 2015.  At news time, there were no NEW names that had surfaced in the ever-growing list of men in Hollywood who have been inappropriate with fellow actors and actresses – but this doesn’t say much for Spacey’s statement that he didn’t recall the incident with actor Anthony Rapp, who first blew the lid off of the Spacey scandal early this week.  Did he not recall that particular incident because it had happened so often?  Or was he just out lying.

Singer/actor Tyrese Gibson has taken to social media to threaten that if Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is involved in the 9th installment of The Fast & The Furious, HE will NOT be.  Wednesday, he took to Instagram to say "I'm sorry to announce that if Dewayne is in Fast9 there will no more Roman Peirce.  You mess with family and my daughters survival I mess with yours. Close your eyes dude you're a 'Clown.'"  He followed that up with a post that said he was never MAD at The Rock... but that he was just mad that he was 'pitched' an idea privately and said yes to it without thinking of what Tyrese was dealing with personally.  Tyrese is currently involved in a contentious custody battle with an ex over his 10-year-old daughter Shayla and has been pouring out a great deal of emotion on his Instagram and Facebook accounts.  Gibson portrayed the character of Roman Pearce in six of the franchise's eight films so far.

WEDNESDAY’S QUESTION OF THE DAY

Question of the Day:  Now that Halloween is behind us, you KNOW that Retail America has already plugged in the Christmas lights and the next time you walk into your favorite department store, they'll practically FORCE you to feel festive.  So today, we're eight and a half weeks away from Christmas.  Have you started your shopping yet?  If so, when did you start?  If not, when WILL you start?  And, do you think you'll do more shopping in stores or online this year?  (Broc) JOIN THE CONVERSATION ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE!

HOLLYWOOD

Jeremy Piven and Andy Dick are the latest in an ever-growing list of Hollywood actors, producers and executives being accused of assault on the job.  First, Jeremy Piven is being called out by a fellow actress who worked with him on Entourage who claims he grabbed her without permission on the set, and then again while the two were at that mansion the late Hugh Hefner lived at.  Former co-star Ariane Bellamar tweeted Piven Monday, saying "Remember when you cornered me in your trailer on the #Entourage set? Remember grabbing (me) on the couch without asking?" And Andy Dick has not only been accused of inappropriate behavior, which included grabbing people in the nether region, unwanted kissing, licking and various propositions of at least four members of the production of Raising Buchanan, but he has now also been DROPPED from the project as well.  The 51-year-old actor denies he grabbed anyone inappropriately, but he does admit to other inappropriate behavior.  He said "I might have kissed somebody on the cheek to say goodbye and then licked them. That's my thing."  If that's your "thing," then you need to find a new "thing" and fast... weirdo.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Rose McGowan for felony possession of a controlled substance.  The warrant, obtained by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department, was issued way back on February 1, according to the Associated Press.  Police launched an investigation after they allegedly found traces of narcotics in personal belongings left behind on a United flight arriving at the Washington Dulles International Airport on January 20th.  We didn't know about it until McGowan herself brought it up on social media.  The 44-year-old – who has accused Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein of assaulting her – claimed the warrant was part of a conspiracy to silence her.

We heard Monday that House Of Cards landed a big fat cancellation, coincidentally the day after Kevin Spacey was accused of assault.  And now, Netflix is moving ahead with plans for a “House of Cards” spin-off.  The streaming service and producer Media Rights Capital are in very early stages of development on multiple ideas for a potential spinoff. One concept revolves around Doug Stamper, the political aide played by actor Michael Kelly in the first five seasons, with Eric Roth set to write. Roth served as an executive producer on the first four seasons of “House of Cards” and is currently executive producing TNT’s “The Alienist.”  Spokespersons for Netflix and Media Rights Capital declined to comment.

HOLLYWOOD

Days after her split from The Weeknd, Selena Gomez was spotted Wednesday morning on a leisurely bike ride with her ex, Justin Bieber.  This is the third time that Gomez and Bieber have been seen together since her breakup with The Weeknd was revealed on Monday.  Sources say that Selena and Biebs rekindling their friendship was not responsible for the split.  Though nothing is official yet, Bieber is apparently determined to win back her heart.

Disney's requirements for the new Star Wars movie have angered some movie theaters.  Disney is requiring movie theaters that show "The Last Jedi" to hand over 65% of ticket sale revenue and play it in their largest auditoriums for at least four weeks.  The requirements are so much that some small independent theaters are deciding not to show it.  By the way, 65% of ticket sale revenue is the largest cut a studio has ever asked from theaters... and theaters who IGNORE these terms would lead to Disney charging the theater an additional 5%, which would mean Disney would take 70% of sales.  In comparison, most theaters send 55%-60% of ticket sales back to studios, depending on if the movie is a major blockbuster or not.

And the list of men accused of harassment towards co-workers in the entertainment biz grows AGAIN today... this time with the addition Brett Ratner who is being accused of misconduct by six women, including actress Olivia Munn, and Dustin Hoffman, who is being accused by a former female intern of harassment.  The intern, Anna Graham Hunter, is now a Los Angeles-based writer and published a guest column in The Hollywood Reporter yesterday where she said she's "conflicted" about revealing the alleged harassment because she still loves the actor's work and said he apologized.

The fallout from Kevin Spacey's response to being accused of alleged assault continued yesterday, with a deafening blow delivered by Netflix as the media house abruptly cancelled his hit show "House of Cards."  Not only that, but executives from Netflix and the show's producer said they arrived in Baltimore yesterday, where the show is shot, to make sure actors and crew continue to feel safe and supported.  Though the decision to end the series was announced on Monday, the decision to pull the plug on the series was made several months ago, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

First we heard about how Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were getting all pally again - and it only took a week for the news that some of us figured was inevitable to make the headlines.  Selena Gomez and her new ex-boyfriend The Weeknd have called it quits, but an insider says Bieber was not a factor in the breakup.  Having said that, Biebs is ALREADY on the defensive with Selena's family, who is less than thrilled about their rekindled friendship.  A friend of his said “Justin is aware Selena’s family is not thrilled they are hanging out. They think he caused Selena a lot of grief.  Justin hopes he can prove to them that he has changed.  He has changed a lot in the past few months. He is a very different person.  The two have a lot to talk about and are having fun catching up.”  I said it yesterday, I'll say it again today.  RUN, Selena!  Run!

The social media internets lit up over the weekend in distaste when Kim Kardashian showed up to a Halloween party dressed as the late Aaliyah.  Kardashian-West said her costumes were to pay homage to iconic music legends.  And the internets are mad because Aaliyah was black - and Kardashian is not.  This isn’t the first time the mom of two has faced claims of cultural appropriation and racism. She was accused over the summer of blackface after she posted promotional photos from a shoot to rep her Kim Kardashian West beauty line.

Kristen Bell, who voices Anna in Frozen, posted a picture of her Halloween costume this year and, to very little surprise, it was the Disney princess' older sister, Elsa - as was Bell's DAUGHTER'S costume.  Bell said that her daughter is the one who came up with the matching costume idea.  She posted a picture on her Instagram account and said "when your daughter demands you BOTH be ELSA for Halloween...you GRIN AND BEAR IT."
