Geils Band, LL Cool J, MC5, the Meters, the Moody Blues, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, Nina Simone, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Link Wray and the Zombies.  To be eligible for this year's ballot, each nominee's first single or album had to be released in 1992 or earlier.  The top vote-getters will be announced in December and inducted on April 14th at a ceremony at Public Hall in Cleveland. HBO will broadcast the ceremony later in the year.

Nick Cannon has been off offending people again - and this time, it's the Catholics.  The comedian performed at New Jersey's Georgian Court University in Lakewood over their homecoming weekend, and did not give them the "NBC or MTV" version of his comedy as he promised he would in his contract.  Officials at Georgian Court say Cannon disregarded the terms of their  agreement and "crossed the line" with offensive words that do not represent the school's core values.  Nick Cannon isn't sorry.  Among other things, he Tweeted "I'm sorry your university doesn't believe in freedom of speech!!!"  I think before he tries the "Shock & aw" thing like he has a few times now, he should FIRST work on actually being funny.

And it's a big weekend at the box office, with a FEW highly-anticipated releases hitting the big screens.  First, 35 years after the original debuted, the Blade Runner sequel starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford is FINALLY opening up tonight.  This is Gosling's FIRST major Hollywood role.  Harrison Ford starred in the original Blade Runner, and this time will take the PASSENGER seat.   The family animated feature My Little Pony — based on the popular line of toys — hits theaters this weekend with an attractive voice cast featuring Emily Blunt, Uzo Aduba and Liev Schreiber.  And finally, The Mountain Between Us starring Idris Elba and Kate Winslet opens up tonight as well.  It's described as a prestige love story set against the backdrop of rural, snow-capped peaks.
