Question of the Day: One of our dear listeners who for the sake of anonymity we’ll call “Mary Jane” met her now husband while he was working a sales job in her hometown.  They fell in love, got married and moved back to Jerome (where he’s from).  Mary Jane is now four months pregnant - and just recently found out that her new husband is cheating!  The woman he was having an affair with didn’t realize that he was married – and as soon as the other woman found out, she contacted Mary Jane to let her know as she’s just as disgusted as Mary Jane is.  She’s at a loss for what to do.  She confronted her husband.  He owned up to it and says he feels terrible.  Now, does MaryJane divorce the sleaze, move back home to her family, and lean on them as a support system to raise her child?  Or does she stick with it and try to work things out with her husband?  (Broc)

Rock legend Tom Petty passed away yesterday.  He was 66.  The iconic frontman of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers went into full cardiac arrest at his Malibu home Sunday night, with conflicting reports on whether the Hall of Fame musician died on Monday. Petty was found unconscious, not breathing and in full cardiac arrest at his home and rushed to the hospital and placed on life support. EMTs were able to find a pulse when they found him, but TMZ reported that the hospital found no brain activity when he arrived. A decision was made to pull life support.  Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers recently completed a summer tour last Monday with three nights at the Hollywood Bowl. The trek marked the band's 40th anniversary.

Nearly a decade after MTV’s TRL took its final request, the iconic series returned for a new generation of music lovers. Monday’s relaunch opened with a somber message in response to the mass shooting. The show’s hosts, along with Ed Sheeran and other guest artists, assembled to tell the viewers that their “hearts and prayers go out to the victims and their families."  They said "even though our hearts are hurting right now, we’re going to keep going and lift each other up.”  Then, the thing that disgusted me the most about social media yesterday happened.  Following the heart-felt message, viewers were told that “now is the time to take action” before being directed to a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening gun laws and ending gun violence nationwide. It's nice to want to do something - but it's another thing entirely to politicize such an awful tragedy just hours after it unfolded.  Their distasteful propaganda gets two thumbs down from me - and if you know anything about where I stand in the whole gun control thing, that's saying something.

On Sunday, Kevin Hart and wife Eniko Parrish celebrated the impending arrival of their baby boy with an elaborate “Lion King” themed baby shower.  The swanky event took place at a beach club in Malibu, and cost an estiamted $118,000.  And I thought WE held a classy affair when we booked up the backroom at Jaker's for OUR baby shower.  Anyways, The couple also announced that they will name their son Kenzo.  And despite the happy time, Hart is still in the middle of that nasty extortion scandal that revealed he may have cheated on his wife.  Hart has since apologized for his behavior. The woman in the video footage with Hart has hired an attorney and claims to have nothing to do with the extortion.
